At The Point Village, we envision a mixed use community providing home/work opportunities. A community that blends multiple uses, such as residential, commercial, cultural, institutional, or entertainment, into one space, where those functions are to some degree physically and functionally integrated, and that provides pedestrian connections. The passion behind this development is to create a multi-use environment by providing spaces for people to live, work, and play. When workplaces offer a wide range of amenities, such as gyms, restaurants, cafes, and shopping, efficiency, productivity, and quality of life are greatly enhanced. Employees, visitors, and residents are gathered in mixed-use neighborhoods to foster community and socialization. Instead of creating a single-use district that runs for eight hours a day we are introducing a mixed-use neighborhood, with distinctive characteristics. Adding cafes, restaurants, a pharmacy, a hotel, and meeting center to a commercial office building that normally operates from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., will transform this project into a community that functions up to 18 hours a day, even on weekends. In turn, longer hours on the streets may also increase neighborhood safety.
